The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes a short-stay exemption table with nationality-specific notes. An entry in that table does not make every document issued by the same place eligible.

Before you travel: Tourism with an ordinary passport only. No paid work. Border admission and other entry conditions still apply. Read all nationality-specific notes on the official page before booking.
